JUVÉDERM LIP FILLERS

JUVÉDERM also offers gel injections for lip augmentation, making the lips appear more full and plump. This injection is also used to facial wrinkles such as parentheses around the mouth. 

They are particularly effective for smoothing perioral lines, commonly called “lipstick lines” or “smokers lines”, which are vertical wrinkles that form above and below the mouth. The injections don’t take long and can last up to a year. Side effects are typically mild but can include swelling, redness, tenderness, and other mild discomforts. 

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC

JUVÉDERM^® Ultra XC is an injectable gel that temporarily adds more fullness and plumps thin lips—whether your lips have thinned over time or you simply want fuller lips—in adults over the age of 21.

• Areas of Treatment: Lips. The thin consistency of the formula is also good for smoothing fine to moderate lines in the middle area of the face.
  
• Treatment Process:  Its crystal-clear gel is injected directly into and around the lips using a small needle to temporarily add the desired range of fullness for lip enhancement in adults over the age of 21. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
  
• Results: Fuller lips that can last up to one year, with optimal treatment.
  
• Side Effects: For lip augmentation, most side effects are mild or moderate in nature with duration of 14 days or less. The most common side effects is temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, and bruising.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC

The Ultra XC Plus formula is thicker than Ultra XC and better for those with deep facial creases. It is injected in to areas of facial tissue near the mouth, mid or lower face to temporarily add volume to the skin, which may give the appearance of a smoother surface.

• Areas of Treatment: Areas of facial tissue near the mouth, mid or lower face.
  
• Treatment Process: Injected into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur.
  
• Results: Added volume to the skin, which may give the appearance of a smoother surface, can last up to one year with optimal treatment.
  
• Side Effects: Temporary side effects were mild or moderate, at the injection-site: redness, swelling, pain/tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

VOLBELLA is a non-surgical alternative for enhancing lip fullness and appearance, and reducing the signs of aging around the mouth. Volbella is intended for adults who are age 21.

• Areas of Treatment: Lips and the area around your mouth.
  
• Treatment Process: A very fine needle will be used to perform the injection so discomfort is minimal, feeling like a small pinch.
  
• Results: Natural-looking lips with more volume, and a smoother appearance of vertical lip lines, leaving your pout with a modest plump without appearing overdone. Typically lasting about nine months
  
• Side Effects: The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, pain, and the possibility of discomfort and itching. These are all temporary responses that generally only last a few days.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC

VOLUMA is the first FDA approved filler specifically formulated to enhance the cheeks while gently lifting the jowls to reveal a smoother jawline. VOLUMA is intended for adults who are age 21 and over and was designed for patients who are seeking a non-surgical, and minimally invasive treatment to restore facial fullness and volume.

• Areas of Treatment: Cheek area
  
• Treatment Process: Most fillers are typically injected into the nasolabial folds like your laugh lines, but VOLUMA goes deeper and is applied to the top of the cheekbones, reversing the signs of aging by restoring lost volume and lifting the face. Since the injectable contains a small dose of the numbing agent lidocaine, any discomfort or pain is minimized, allowing for a more comfortable procedure.
  
• Results: Immediately after your VOLUMA treatment, you can expect an increase in facial volume and fullness and a gentle lift of sagging skin around the cheek area. Patients enjoy replenished facial fullness, regained youthful contours, and restoration of volume and shape to their cheeks. Results last for up to two years after treatment, with only minor touch-ups needed after this period to maintain results.
  
• Side Effects: The most common side effects with Voluma are swelling, bruising, temporary redness, lumps, and tenderness. These are all temporary responses that generally only last two to four weeks

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX® XC

VOLUX is an injectable gel for improving the jawline and defining the chin for adults over 21 years of age.

• Areas of Treatment: Jawline
  
• Treatment Process:  The gel is injected into the jaw to improve jawline definition. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
  
• Results:  A more defined jawline from an mproved shape and structure of the lower face, lasting up to 1 year, with optimal treatment.
  
• Side Effects: Most side effects are mild or moderate with a duration of 14 days or less—35% of side effects lasted up to 30 days. The most common side effects were temporary reactions at the treatment site, such as tenderness, lumps/bumps, pain, swelling, firmness, bruising, redness, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
  

SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®

SKINVIVE is the first hyaluronic acid (HA) microdroplet injectable approved by the FDA to provide improvement to cheek skin. It helps the skin retain its natural moisture and softness leading to an improvement in the skin smoothness of the cheeks.

• Areas of Treatment: Cheeks
  
• Treatment Process: The cheeks wil receive multiple small injections. The exact number of injections varies slightly per client and will be determined by your Provider. 
  
• Results: Increased hydration and skin smoothness. With optimal treatment, results last up to 6 months.
  
• Side Effects: The most commonly reported side effects are temporary redness, lumps/bumps, swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, firmness, discoloration and itching.
