TCA Peel in Austin
The TCA peel (Trichloroacetic acid peel) results in a deeper depth of peeling. We offer 10%, 15%, and 20% TCA peels. This chemical peel is great for improving skin texture, superficial blemishes, and pigmentation problems. It is commonly used on the face and other areas of the body such as the hands, forearms, and chest.
What to Expect – Application and Recovery
TCA peels are one of the most aggressive options that Vitalogy offers to improve wrinkles and lines on the face. It is often described as feeling “spicy” when applied. Because of the intensity of this peel, you can expect to need about a week of downtime afterward to recover. Patients can expect three to seven days of downtime after getting a TCA chemical peel.
Results of TCA Peels
TCA peels leave skin softer, smoother, and more taught. They can fade acne scars, smooth fine lines, and remove shallow blemishes. For best results, the procedure should be performed multiple times over the course of months. Because it is harsh on the skin, it is not typically recommended for those who heal slowly.
