What to Expect During and After BBL Treatments

During a Sciton Forever Young BBL session, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may experience a warm sensation as the light is applied to your skin. Most people find the procedure comfortable and tolerable. Generally, there is no need for a topical anesthetic, but your Dermatology Provider may choose to use it on more sensitive areas. The duration of each session depends on the areas being treated but typically ranges from 15 to 30 minutes.

After your treatment, you may experience mild redness and a sensation similar to a mild sunburn. These effects typically subside within a few hours to a day. Over the following weeks, you’ll notice a gradual improvement in the appearance of your skin as collagen production increases and imperfections fade. Results depend on your skin’s condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated.

Make sure to follow your Dermatology Provider’s instructions regarding post-treatment care. Since this is a noninvasive and gentle procedure, there is virtually no downtime. You should be able to resume your activities after your treatment. We recommend avoiding direct sunlight, and if you are going to be outdoors, protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.

Basics of JUVÉDERM® Fillers

The Injection Procedure

Receiving JUVEDÉRM fillers involves a minimally invasive process that can usually be completed in a single session by a qualified Medical Provider. A thorough examination of your medical history will then be conducted to prepare you for the treatment.

The JUVEDÉRM filler is carefully injected beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula. The procedure is relatively swift, and most patients experience minimal discomfort, mainly because the fillers contain lidocaine to enhance the patient’s comfort. Finally, your Dermatology Provider will review applicable aftercare instructions, allowing you to resume your day promptly.

It is important to note that while the procedure itself is generally well-tolerated, some patients may encounter mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days.

The Longevity of JUVEDERM Effects
