CoolSculpting Body Contouring in Austin

CoolSculpting® is the only FDA cleared procedure that uses non-invasive technology to destroy stubborn fat cells by freezing them.

Designed to treat nearly every part of the face and or body, CoolSculpting® helps you get body contouring without downtime. Since there are no surgeries, chemicals, injections, or needles used to perform this procedure, patients are able to continue with their daily activities immediately following their treatment. Vitalogy Skincare offers CoolSculpting treatments for Greater Austin area patients to experience the innovation of more than 7 million treatments worldwide here locally.

How Does CoolSculpting Work?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive body contouring treatment, meaning that it does not involve surgery or cutting to remove the stubborn fat cells in specific areas of the body. This process known as Cryolipolysis involves applying cool temperatures externally to areas of unwanted fat and freezing the fat cells without damaging the skin. The treated fat cells are then crystallized (frozen) by placing special treatment applicators on the targeted areas. Each treatment takes approximately 35-75 minutes depending on the targeted area.

Your trained Vitalogy Skincare Aesthetician or Provider determines the treatment applicator depending on the specific area of under the chin and/or body being targeted for the body contouring treatment.

The CoolSculpting procedure involves securing the skin with a removable gel pad and using a handheld device that begins to cool the fat cells through a vacuum-like suction pull. The freezing temperature cools the fat cells, which in exchange causes them to shrink and die. Over the months following the treatment, your body will naturally dispose the destroyed fat cells, leaving you with a noticeably slimmer figure.

Who Should Get CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is generally ideal for healthy individuals who are within 20-30 pounds of their goal weight and are looking to treat areas of resistant fat. This is the area of fat that is just beneath the skin, and is very soft to touch, pinch, or squeeze, and is usually unresponsive to diet and exercise.

You can schedule an appointment with a Vitalogy Skincare Aesthetician if you’d like to learn more about if CoolSculpting is a fit for you.

What Does CoolSculpting Feel Like?

Most patients say that CoolSculpting feels cold, like ice because the body contouring procedure involves a device that is freezing fat cells. The icy-cold feeling typically numbs within 5-10 minutes.

You may also feel some tugging or pulling at your skin due to the vacuum-like suction device and there may be discomfort or a “weird” feeling, but the procedure itself is not painful.

What Areas Can CoolSculpting Treat?

CoolSculpting has been designed to treat nearly every part of the body, including the following areas:
– Abdomen (“pooch”)
– Side (“flanks” or “love handles”)
– Thighs (Inner and Outer)
– Knees
– Under the chin
– Back
– Bra area
– Under buttocks (“banana rolls”)

Is There Any Downtime with CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is completely non-surgical, so typically patients are able to return to their normal daily routines immediately. Some patients may experience temporary redness, tingling, mild bruising, or discomfort, but these will resolve completely.

What Results Can I Expect After CoolSculpting?

Most patients begin to notice results within three weeks of CoolSculpting® treatment, but maximum results can be seen at three months.

During the CoolSculpting procedure, fat cells are triggered through a technique called Cryolipolysis which involves freezing the fat cells to destroy them. The process of cell death is not instantaneous since it takes time for your body to dispose of the dead fat cells. However, once destroyed, the fat cells treated through CoolSculpting® are gone for good, which is why the results are long-term. Diet and exercise also attribute to the long-term results of your applications with each treatment.

Each CoolSculpting treatment typically removes 22-25% of the fat that it targets, and with multiple treatments in the area, it can remove an even larger percentage of the targeted fat to reach the desired results of the patient.

How Many CoolSculpting Treatments Do I Need?

Patients are generally delighted with their results after between one and three CoolSculpting® applications in each treated area. The amount of treatments will vary on your desired results, and often areas such as under the chin or neck can show results in as few as one or two treatments because the area is so small.

During your initial consultation, a Vitalogy Medical Spa Aesthetician will determine a customized treatment plan that is right for you to achieve your desired results.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

The price of CoolSculpting treatments varies, depending on the total number of treatments required to achieve the desired results, your areas of concern, and your ultimate goals. A Vitalogy Medical Spa Aesthetician will assist you during a consultation to determine the costs associated with your desired treatment.
