How Does BBL Work?

BBL deposits pulses of light energy that gently heat the upper layers of skin. Within the skin, the light energy is absorbed by targets, such as fine, broken vessels that cause redness and brown spots or pigmented lesions caused by an overproduction of melanin. What to Expect During and After BBL Treatments

During a BBL session, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may experience a warm sensation as the light is applied to your skin. Most people find the procedure comfortable and tolerable. Generally, there is no need for a topical anesthetic, but your Dermatology Provider may choose to use it on more sensitive areas. The duration of each session depends on the areas being treated but typically ranges from 15 to 30 minutes.

After your treatment, you may experience mild redness and a sensation similar to a mild sunburn. These effects typically subside within a few hours to a day.
