Dr. Smetanick focuses on medical dermatology including conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, warts, moles, hair and nail disorders, skin infections, excessive sweating, and blistering disorders. He is also highly skilled in the medical and surgical treatment of skin cancers. His varied background in chemistry and research help make Dr. Smetanick an excellent problem-solver and he often diagnoses conditions that have previously eluded his patients.

Known affectionately as Dr. Matt to many, Dr. Smetanick is passionate about caring for his patients and he is dedicated to their health and well-being.

Dr. Smetanick enjoys spending free time with his family and friends, as well as reading, hiking, tennis, cooking, and Texas barbeque.

Excision performed by Dr. Phillips to remove a large subcutaneous scallop shaped cyst from my mid-back went perfect. From topical anesthesia - to removal - to stitching. No pain, no bleeding afterwards. Dr. Phillips and the Nurse were outstanding.

I have been coming to Dr. Jan for at least 10 years and now I have to drive 2 hours to see her since I relocated to the Waco area 4 years ago, but she is worth the drive. Her assistant is also wonderful
