Dr. Hanson grew up in New Jersey just outside of Manhattan. After graduating from Columbia University, she left New York City to seek exceptional medical training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. There she completed medical school, a dermatology residency, and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology. Dr. Hanson has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications, authored a book chapter in a dermatologic surgery textbook, and presented research at national dermatology meetings. During her training, she received the Paul O’Leary Award for Clinical Excellence from Mayo Clinic’s Department of Dermatology. She is passionate about providing exceptional care to her patients in the Austin area.
Aside from work, Dr. Hanson enjoys traveling, trying new food, exercising, watching a good movie, and interior design but loves nothing more than spending quality time with her daughter, husband, and two little dogs. After so many years living in colder climates, she is delighted to be part of the Austin community.
