Amara Sayed, D.O.
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Amara Sayed is a native of Miami, Florida. Prior to medical school, she attended the University of Miami, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then went on to Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; after graduation, she completed her family practice residency and became board certified as a family physician. Dr. Sayed then completed her dermatology residency and served as chief resident at Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dr. Sayed specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, caring for children, adults and the elderly. She currently serves as one of the editors of The Journal of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Sayed is an advocate for her patients and strongly focuses on education, prevention, and treatment of dermatological conditions and skin cancers. In addition to medical dermatology, Dr. Sayed also has an interest in cosmetic dermatology, including performing cosmetic laser treatments to help her patients look and feel their best.
She is excited to be at a practice that shares her principles of patient care and enjoys Texas barbecue, the beautiful outdoors and Austin’s active music scene.
